6 Specific Cycling Climbing Sessions
Being able to climb well is often times an enigma of sorts. Even if you feel like you are going OK, your true form is shown on the mountains. As is often seen on the big climbs at the tour.
Being able to climb well is a combination of physical condition (including your weight) and mental strength. Both need active attention if you’re going to be in the front group on your next ride or race.
The thing is, many guys don’t consider themselves climbers, so don’t bother training hard on the climbs. I disagree most of the time. Most bike races don’t finish on a climb. As a result, you just need to be able to hang on up the climbs and you’re in with a shot. So even if you don’t consider yourself a climber, you should be actively training on the climbs.
Out of this thinking, we decided to put together 6 specific climbing “secret sessions” that we’ve used in the past to help with our climbing. These sessions are pretty tough, however, we’ve found them yielding great results.
These are now available to all MyCycling customers to download in the members area. If you’re not yet a customer, consider signing up here.
